Are you saying that LBJ, McNamara, Nixon, and Westmoreland were not lying about the war? LBJ knew in '66 that we would need more than a million troops, possibly more, to 'pacify' Vietnam, using the standard 10-1 ratio of troops-to-insurgents. Nixon lied so many times I not surprised if he didn't have a 'Secretary of Lies' to keep things straight. No bombing in Cambodia, no operations in Laos, winning the peace, etc, etc. Gulf of Tonkin. Domino theory. Kill ratios. Areas of pacification. Winning the hearts and minds. Vietnamization. Too many to properly list...
