OR if not deemed winnable at an acceptable cost in both men and treasure, not to have not gotten involved at all. Maybe so... I guess there aren't any countries worth assisting, even if they are facing a threat being supported by a rival super-power, or imperialistic ideology. We should just mine our borders, set up our internal police Gestapo state, and relegate ourselves to international isolationism... It would seem the prevalent American thought is that it's alright for millions of others to suffer and die, while we sit in front of our TVs watching American Idol.. Hawk
