There are just limitations on our power as well as domestic constraints that make interventions difficult in some cases. Its just not a zero sum game, the way you and ed sometimes see it.

Limitations on our power, or on our will?

The other sides, despite our superior industial power, and our superior values related to accountable government, seldom seem to have limitationsm, despite the fact that their goals are to dominate and oppress the masses.

I think we're just a bit racist and believe that no one but Americans have the desire to have a say in how they are governed.

And maybe I see it as a zero-sum game because history has shown us that when we fail to nip the evil weed in the bud, it eventually blossoms and we're forced to spend even greater treasure and blood eradicating all of its offspring after we're permitted it to go to seed and replicate itself.
