>>> Do you have a book list that you could recommend -- as hands-on, detail oriented as possible. <<<

I don't know what you mean by detail oriented as possible.

What I do know is one will not learn everything in a single book. Trading at a level that provides "consistent" profits is a process, not an event. It's a process of learning different aspects of the market and then putting it all together into a trading plan and then following that plan with good money management skills and position sizing.

I think the very first book one should have an understanding of when using technical analysis, is candlestick charting. Any good book on this subject will do. This is the one I have.

I did not take the time to learn every candlestick formation. I learned the reversal patterns and then assumed anything else I am looking at is a continuation pattern.

I use moving averages to identify the trend and areas of price support or resistance. I think it's important to understand where this can help in one's trading.

Earning consistent profits takes an ability to identify price and volume patterns that increase the odds of a successful trade. One needs to know how to identify volume patterns.

If one is going to earn consistent profits in either a bull or bear market, then one needs to learn how to do that. This book is essential for understanding the different phases that price goes through.

This next book shows how to put it all together. I tried to take a short cut and read this one before I was ready for it. That was a waste of time. A year later I went back to it and things started to fall into place. This should be one of the last books read.

And of course, read as many books on market psychology as you can.

When you have completed the above and put it into practice, we can take it to the next level which is a little more sophisticated.
