They didn't argue for "change of venue" early enough. The trial really should have been moved to SI. Hey, Tony's been loudly pleading his case here, online, anyway, something he couldn't seem to do in a real courtroom -- what's the diff? As we've seen, he's got his own little witness box here. And he's got a@p_moderator to handle the proceedings. It saves a lot of taxpayer money not having to deal with jury bodies and bailiffs, stenographers, (not to mention: attorneys(!)) -- and other assorted expenses involved with those non-virtual courtrooms.

And Tony wouldn't have to hand-scribe all those little notes here and there. He could just type them! What's not a win-win situation about that? (well, I mean, aside from his typing skills, which are only slightly weaker than his ability to avoid felony convictions)
