I dont know about attacking Syria but i do think, using the current nuke dispute and the current talks between US and Iran to somehow get to a peaceful post war situation in iraq offers and opportunity to engage iran at syrias expense. The syrians are supporting the sunni jihadis who are killing shiaa. Iran might have been for the violence to disrupt and defeat the US but if the US stops calling for regime change and engages iran (if engagable) perhaps we can split that axis. I wonder if hizbollah can be engaged to take on the wahabis terrorists within syria. That will cause regime change. Pure speculation on my part.
