Gen. Shinseki said under testimony to Congress that "several hundred thousand" troops would be needed to secure the peace in occupied Iraq.
By English language definition, generally "a couple" means 2, "a few" means 3 or 4, "several" means 5 or 6 (at least) and "many" means 7 and higher.
So Shinseki said we needed some 500,000 to 600,000 troops. In retrospect, we can see how right he was. Of course, in Dumbya's administration, if you are correct and honest, you are fired! Which is what they did to Shinseki. |
