Ron,

My understanding is that the lab they're using is familiar with cinder material and has an assay well suited to it -- we're not talking a wet reading, but a fire assay that results in gold prills. At the same time, more research and refinements are underway on the assay question, though this should not present a delay in results as they already have a procedure in hand.

As I said, this is only my understanding, and you might want to call the company yourself to verify I've gotten it right.
