ALL FOR unalienable human rights. But I'm not at all sure that I understand the effective difference you are trying to outline in your statement above.... If a RIGHT came 'from God', or a LAW came 'from God'... how do you know and, what is the difference between the two? Hopefully, any RIGHTS 'granted by God' would not be contradicted by any LAWS 'issued by God'. -------------------------- (The point I was trying to make in my previous post, though, was that there are LOTS of countries who claim their laws and citizen's rights come from 'God' --- for example, every country that has Sharia law as the basis of their nation's laws... this is claimed to be law handed down from 'God' to the Prophet --- and there have been throughout the history of the world... the ancient laws of Israel, the Holy Roman Empire, etc. Probably more then the other way around.... The Anglo-Saxon history of COMMON LAW is one of the clear exceptions to that trend in history, though....)
