I agree with your last couple of sentences. I, a former Republican, don't want a Republican Congress or President this next time around, because I don't trust them to represent my interests anymore. It was a waste of American money and soldiers. That's why I like the Clinton-era wars. We went in with our planes and bombed the shit out of our enemies and didn't lose any soldiers and fought wars on the cheap. I like that much better than these land wars.

I wish you could see the real difference the wars Clinton fought and the wars Bush is fighting. Its not just because Clinton bombed the shit out of a place. First of all Clinton picked carefully what areas he would really take on; made sure that America was part of a real coalition of the willing and he made every effort to have the support and the cooperation of the nations surrounding the area under attack wherever possible. It was clear from the way things went a lot of planning was put into the operation before the first man was on the ground.

It would seem Bush did very little of the preparation that Clinton did. I've made this analogy before...Bush did the equivalent of some white guy, packing up his family and moving into the heart of an all black ghetto while singing "happy days are here again, the whites are moving in". For all the alleged military prowess of Republicans very little was in evidence when we invaded Iraq.

And the same incompetent butthole said today he won't withdraw American troops while he is president in spite of what Americans think.

So I ask all of you who were so gungho in your support of Bush and his moves in 2003, what the hell do we do now? Grin and bear it?
