Tim, volume appears to be about average for the day. This is good IMHO. It does not appear that people are rushing to cash their profits. That means that the shorts won't be able to cover.I believe that the most immortant thing with Vivus is to slowly increase towards the levels were the short sales were made.As I remember it, post split, these were a group at 36, 37, and the big one of course at 42 although volume wise the 36-37 were bigger.Having stayed comfortably at 33 for a couple of days, 36 is easily attainable as we approach D-Day Oct 8. As soon as we hit 36 I believe the primer will go off ( for you hunters out there, gg ), and then ZOOM! Like lightning or VOLCANO! Pimers gg, or rather margin calls from broker will rapidly take off and charges #37,38, 39, and 40-42 will go out automatically in rapid sequence succession. The blow out of course will take us to new heights because obviously all Vivus holders already know this and expect it. I think most folks on this thread want to get at least 45 out of it and several are looking at 50. ( shall I name theseVETERAN /PROFESSIONAL short squeezers?"How do I love thee?Let me count the ways", gg ; the Cabotite crowd!! Vinick is certainly not unaware of short squeezes, and of course our SI crowd. In the SI crowd I believe there is also a significant No from the Intel thread were Vivus has been mentioned. A VERY IMPORTANT GROUP ARE INSTITUTIONAL HOLDERS!!! I believe tha THIS MIS THE BIGGEST CROWD of shots!! and have been trying to jerk this stock for 5 months +.It is poossible that some institutions are using overseas money for this from rich overseas depositors who are not looking into the fun and games their brokers are playing: oil sheikhs? celebtities?).
So everybody is watching now, heart in hand, palpitating and asking: when will Vivus go down for us to cover? And the answer is ,It won't.
The ONLY question now is WHEN in the next 2 weeks will the short squeeze occur. The answer is a) NOBODY KNOWS, b) as soon as the fuse is lit at 35-36; could be today tomorrow, next week, or definitely IMHO Oct 8: with 20% + increased production we should see 20%+ increase in eps, ~ 35 cents/Share, from 28 last Q, a 25% increase and this is just for starters,Next Q we'll have 5 times the capacity, are we going to see $1.50/Q, $6/year? I will let Richard tell us about that,he is good at it.
My advice now for current and prospective Vivus stock holders is buy more or HOLD on to to what you have..It is going to be a head swaying ride!!!
Let us all hold till at least 45 if we can.

PS was down a measly 1 point and it is back up into slightly + territorry, (32 3/4 ).Just as I said: Nobody is getting scared off of this stock. Last question could Tokyo VD's secret informer in the Vivus mail room ( a disgruntled employee? ),be one of the shorts? gg.
