I think taking into account LTV will do it.
Care to write it up one more time for everyone to look at?
What about a % that housing should make in a basket?

I think we can tackle food next.
Methodology needs to be worked out.
The same identical basket every week makes things easy but it can easily miss sales when people (like me) are more inclined to stock up.

Those with larger families and those without freezer space, may have a hard time stocking up as easily as I can.

I suppose one could totally ignore sales but that really seems wrong. It is also wrong to say that one never eats pork (unless one really does never eat pork so do we have to take into account religion?) Actually I got sidetraceked here but religion does seem relevant. What % of the population does not eat meat for religious or other reasons? Anyway back to pork (for those that eat it)... does one substitute beef for pork and if so for how long if pork prices are high? Obviously that can only go on for so long but somehow if lots of people buy sales then it makes sense (to me) to attempt a methodology of taking that into consideration at least partially.
