Orange County is resilient - but we still had significant sales and price declines in the early 90s.

Nominal median prices declined 17% according to OFHEO (Santa Ana-Anaheim-Irvine, CA) from 1990 through 1996. Real median prices declined close to 40%!!!

The most painful part for homeowners was that prices declined steadily for 6 years (almost every quarter showed a small price decline).
