Are business conditions getting better or worse? -- that's always been my question.

Stole the line from "Only Yesterday" - Frederick Lewis Allen's fabulous history of The Roaring Twenties -- a section where the great run up in asset prices went hyper in 1928 I think, in large part due to advertisers, public figures, and Wall Street hype men, despite deteriorating conditions.

Great book. Probably <10$ on Amazon.

Another one I loved from the book and quote here and there from time to time:

2,000 real estate offices; 25,000 realtors -- Miami, 1925.

Geo.
