Take her half and turn it into a $250 gift cert at Victoria's Secret and a $250 gift cert at Williams-Sonoma. Kick in an extra $250 of your own on each one of those. Now she can go shopping with wild abandon! She's happy, what she brings back will make you happy. And that's the $1000 right there -- she got the whole thing, but you still had your half to do your own thing with! Happiness all over. What's to argue about that happiness?
