Europe will meet the same fate as Byzantium, whether it pleases Jean Raspail and Oriana Fallaci or not. The difference, however, will be that, unlike Byzantium, Europe will not morph into a Muslim Empire (the Ottoman Empire of yore) but rather into a post-Christian civilization that blends Christianity, Islam and other cults into a peaceful, secular polity.
