Peter, As long as there are people out there that want what you have, there will be no peace. When the have nots become armed, and trained, in killing, there will be combat, and people will die. There is no security that can prevent that.
In the case of war, our intentions should turn from absolute freedom, to a commitment of banding together to beat the enemy. That makes the leadership of the military necessary, and personal freedom will be put on hold, in order to get it protected.

So many of the poorer class, get that Biblical phrase wrong, and say that "money is the root of all evil" leaving out the all important words of "love of". That makes a huge difference.

I hear a troubling thing a lot now days, when people say "I will pay you when I get my taxes". They no longer mention that such a check from the government is suppose to be a refund of taxes already paid. These people don't pay taxes, but still get money back. That, I do not understand. They live off of welfare, and then get a bonus each year. That is just wrong, and will break the back of the American government some day.
