How do you feel about vouchers? If you are opposed, how do you explain their great success in Milwaukee along with the support of the disadvantage there who are taking advantage. In the NY area i have seen the advantages of catholic schools for many disadvantaged kids, many not even catholics. To me urban public schools are often out of control and suburban schools are bogged down in bureacracy and shoddy administration. My wife is/was a teacher--a good one, pretty much driven from the classroom by incompetent and sometimes corrupt administrators. And then there is tenure but i will not go there.
