I spoke with a US company that is planning to add 60,000 employees in China in coming months. I asked about the impact on US employment. The answer was that it will require additions at the home office as well.

Those companies that grasp the significance of growth outside the US will be well rewarded. The American employees of American companies who grasp this significance will be rewarded. And the shareholders of companies who grasp the significance will be rewarded.

But those who do not grasp the significance of globalization and those who do not jump in with both feet are going to be applying for unemployment benefits in the not too distant future.
