The worst was when Lute Olsen called hum "Dukie V". It was a clever and funny nickname, but totally inappropriate for Olsen to say it. Vitale is the ONLY member of the national media who does not have an East Coast bias. Vitale goes out of his way to acknowledge West Coast teams, coaches and players whenever they deserve it. And he has always gone out of his way to single out Lute Olsen for praise. Vitale was the only national media figure who was giving props to Jason Terry during his brilliant senior season.
