all these reports about the shakeup are acting like the primary problem is a management communications issue. But the real problem as I see it is an inability to produce. Of course it is hard to communicate to the higher ups that you can't meet a long date with a watered down feature set. Yes it would be better if mgmt openness was improved. But why would anybody expect delays like this for Vista now.

I think the problem is msft doesn't have any good engineers anymore.
