well you see Don, I can't offer my services to msft or dell, because these fine companies have decided engineering is not a professional enterprise anymore, this happened years ago, and people like me (who were hands on tactical engineering leads) watched this happening, knew it was going to happen - AND NOW WE'RE GLOATING!!!

So give me my 15 mins of fame why don't you?!

Nobody really minds overpaid pumped up mgmt in these companies as long as everybody is treated well. But these companies basically killed their golden gooses which was their R&D competitive edge, while at the same time they paid lipservice to how great every other country was in producing this type of talent.

The thing that bothers me about it is I liked having a bull market and I think without technology leadership its basically a long term bear- and there is no question in my mind that intc, dell and msft's future is bleak.
