Not something that is very bad. Also note supporting the rights to have these is not the same as pushing them. I don't equate guns (which can be used to defend yourself, and also are connected to a constitutional right) with drugs, but an analogy with drugs might illustrate this point. Most supporters of drug legalization are not drug pushers.

They are not at all satisfied that people can own hunting rifles and handguns, so forget about them protecting the rights of those people,

They do care about and support the right to own such weapons. Going beyond that doesn't mean that they forget about protecting such rights, or that other people should forget that they do.

Also, redneck does mean racist. Just a nicer way of saying it.

No it doesn't. It generally means poor, uneducated, and/or unsophisticated white person with a rural southern background.

Also, the NRA is the main lobbying arm of the weapons industry. They don't care about saving lives, they care about selling guns, except to blacks and hispanics.

Repeating the same false statement won't make it true.
