I don't pay for any service to find stocks... Recently, I did pay for a 4 month membership to 3 stocks on Fire, but found that I do better just finding them myself...
1. First of all, I find a lot of stocks from a free service... www2.barchart.com
At barchart.com I follow the stocks in the $2-5 area and 5-10.00 area that are showing volume strength and have good patterns....I put them into my antiquated TA software program, Internet Trader Pro, the Old Windows on Wall Street program.. That is where I study them, and run tests on them..
One that caught my eye for potential entry next week was SPEX....This would be a pullback bounce play..
2. I find stocks on the TA Gizzard thread from people like Lexi2004,Tuna, and many others..Tuna is usually in and out of stocks at the blink of an eye, so I rarely enter any of his picks or look at them...
For me to look at others picks on this thread regularly, they have to get my attention with some great picks...Recently Lexi2004 has caught my eye...She is doing some great TA work, and I sense she has a passion for her trading...When I see Passion, and a desire to keep reading TA books, I know we have a trader in our midst...
3. I have my own data base of some 250 stocks that I watch, all are under 12.00...I run tests on them every day... A. MACD zero line crossover B. 180's (Jeff Cooper) C. 1,2,3,4(Jeff Cooper) D. Moving average breakouts E. 50 day expansion breakouts I look for patterns, ascending triangles, pennants, flags, rectangles, Head and Shoulder patterns, etc....
I am closing out my positions now and will see everyone next week...Be back Monday....Mark
Just sold 5000 HEB from 3.54 at 3.69 for +.15= $750.00
Looks like a 5K week even though I will probably take a 1K loss later this afternoon on QOIL...
I may hold NTO for the weekend, since I haven't seen a real blowout breakout yet.... |
