as the ice melts over land.. the earth rebounds.. if the rebound is over a fault zone.. or volcano.. speculation is.. that the Earth speaks..ie moves or belches due to the removal of the incredible weight of the ice After melting.. ice cold water.. expands as it warms.. thus warm water is greater in volume than cold.. sea level rises even faster because of this effect go look at "The Weather Makers" at your local book store May you live in interesting times
