Japan basically doesn't allow anyone to immigrate I read somewhere this is changing? BTW I am in favor of more immigration to the US, not less. Its the "temporaryness" of "work visa" immigration that I don't like, it facilitates a reverse brain drain. totally different than opening up the borders and allowing everyone to come and live here permanently, which I think pretty much everyone is for (except for the obvious security issues)
