You already know my opinion, it will cause more problems than it solves. I don't know any way to keep illegals out without changing that. If you can come up with one, I'd be delighted to hear it. At any rate, it appears that opinions about immigration aren't that different between Republicans and Democrats Oh, we'll get something passed and everyone will feel good for a while. But it won't work. So in ten or twenty years, we'll deal with it again. Remember, the last law was supposed to fix it, too. I am not at all sanguine about this. You have to take away the incentives for coming or they will come. We don't have the stomach to take away the incentives. Personally, I'm not into feel-good. If we can't come up with a bill that can work, we shouldn't do anything, IMO. But politics don't work my way.
