Pop! "The West saw a 29.6 percent drop, while the South saw sales fall 6.4 percent, as the two country's two hottest regions for housing slowed. Sales in the Northeast and Midwest gained, but between them those regions accounted for less that a quarter of the nation's new home sales last year."

------ Honestly, I think it's going to take a big wake up call to get people to make Dubya less popular than Cheney. The new Rovian strategy: pile up all the bad stuff on the WH and make Congressional Republicans squeaky clean for the midterms.

It's the reverse coat-tails methodology. Hypocritical? Obviously but Republicans have to blame reality on somebody and since it's one-party rule they're going to have a hard time blaming it on the Dems who are keeping mum.
