I am not linking Christianity to aid at all, I am saying however that these people would do better working with the Muslim version of the red Cross, or something. Particularly when Conversion is against the Laws of the people they are working with. Should some fool who really doesn't need to be there, get kidnapped in Afghanistan, I am not sure I like the idea of risking our military trying to save them. If the Soldiers had had to kill a couple of the kidnappers, not a great problem in my view, how would these people have reacted?
I am very fond of our Military, and think they should be well taken care of, and running around Afghanistan is dangerous enough at the present time, that saving wandering Missionaries should not be a problem added to the load. There will be lots of time to get in and do good works after things are a tad more settled. Maybe they could stay in Canada and work with some of the natives.
