Come on!!..ya' gotta' be kiddn' me!..Broke Back!?..you're too PC for me-g-

Interesting you had that reaction..I agree that there was a sense of unrealness but that's what made it real for me..there's so much about LA/PA/NY/SF/SA etc., that is unreal, and real in a very simple way at the same time..I like that they didn't once again drag me into the ghettos of Central LA, that I wasn't subjected to blood and guts and all the stuff of inner city awareness movies..the papers provide enuff of that ..they took me into the very ordinary middle class neighborhoods..nobody was starving, had aids, or other calamaties..these were represntative of the majority of folk in our society..gotta' remember that this was probably a hard movie to film..each of those characters/director had to really think about how to be portrayed/to portray..what to say as not to offend but to drive the point home..dealing with their own issues/feelings of race..

Lastly, I need a good ending!..I need to see mirrored for me that life does work..that it's possible to have epiphanies, for life to get better..and indeed it does more often than not..bad endings have become too predictable!!

<City of God> I'm not a movie-phile..it's the light thing-g-About 5 films a year is the max..sometimes one or two a year..
