I think RE and BB are well-meaning in that they don't want the Inuit and Indian economic base to be whale, seal and walrus, as they are possibly decimated by this process. The seal not the Inuit. This is not probable, as no matter how good the food is for you, it is unlikely that a worldwide walrus blubber industry will arise.

Herding the Caribou is thought by some bio-pundits to spell the death-knell of the herd in the far north, as it would become entirey domesticated. Right now it is too far ranging for herding. I don't know, but I think something has to be done, as to keep the Indians on Hud Bay food is sentence them to a slow death. The CDN government, their workers being dumb as posts in this area, is only slowly starting to realize there are dietary problems with cooked meat and the three-squares compromise. If they repeat any of that DASH diet nonsense anymore they should be sued. Stefansson figured out more than that 90 years ago with his diet experiments on raw whole meat sea diets in New York. Our mix of cooked fat, trans fats and refined carbs, light on fruits and complex carbs, is killing us gradually. It is deadly to the Eskimo and the Northern Indian.
