I hadn't even read the whole thread when I posted the above.

Matt: thanks again for the details. At this point it should be clear that there is no relation between these tools.
Tech: You may be trying to unearth something that doesn't exist here.I accept your report from the company and don't feel the need to contact them for details.

I have not been aware of any references to a possible connection between these two companies on any thread ever since Oct. until Monk used the word "hideous" which suggested a deep dark secret. If there was one I don't know what it was supposed to be and my reaction to Monk was that he should spill the beans or back off. Even if he was only referring to all the references that have been belabored here, the inferences that could conceivably be drawn from them are muddy, ancient history.

Let's get on with something else.
