Actually, in the barrio, most of the illegals were NOT criminals, other than being here illegally of course. Even when they weren't working, they didn't commit crimes, because they weren't criminals and they were afraid they'd go to jail and then be deported. That's what I like about these new proposals - they aren't further criminalizing the illegals - they are FINALLY criminalizing the employers and enablers.

I don't want to keep illegals out because I think they commit crimes, because they don't. I want to keep illegals out because they depress wages and keep poor Americans poor. Illegals AREN'T Americans. How long has the minimum wage been $5.15 an hour? 9 years?
