re: I think congress may cut his funding sometime in 07. All they've got to do is refuse a supplemental to pay for the war and it's over. Just like Vietnam. I wonder if he'll go for the traditional Nixon "peace with honor"? Remember the "truthyness" of the Iraq funding bills is "giving our troops everything they need"... so if you vote against it it's couched as NOT giving our troops what they need. I can't see congress turning against war... how many Doves are there right now? A dozen, 2 dozen? If Bush were still in office when we depart Iraq I think we would just say "we won, it's my story and I'm sticking to it" regardless of what happens. John
