It's not "slightly dishonest", it's deliberately deceptive.

I see the deception but I think "slightly dishonest" covers it.


How can someone be slightly dishonest? One can't be slightly dishonest. You are either honest or dishonest. You are either intentionally deceiving or you are not. A child can get away with a 'white' lie but we are talking about the president of the US. And this is not the first time he has chosen to deceive.

However I don't think the semantic issue here is one worth arguing over. Certainly he was spinning and manipulating the words,

This is the most important leader of the free world and he's manipulating his people so he can continue to participate in a war that has gone badly against this country. And this doesn't upset you?
