Speaking of min wage earlier, Calif is considering increasing the min wage by a $1 to ~ $7.75/hour.

Out here, about half the labor force works 9 hour days, 6 days a week for about 1,000 dirhams per month.

$7.75/hour * 54 hours per week * 4 weeks per month * 3.68 dh/$ = 6,160dh per month!

Admittedly, the workers here often get some form of shared accomodation and food with their work, but mandating that Californians get 6x higher salary than other labor markets seems a touch high....
