Peter, Congress, or some other department, should take a deep look into what is happening in the Medicare part of SS. I have, personally, seen fraud and corruption around every turn in that process. I have contacted the fraud division of Medicare, with detailed descriptions of the offenses, and some paper work to prove my case, but they did absolutely nothing. They not only did not look into the matter, they never even acknowledge my claim. When you add fraud, and couple it with lazy inaction, you have one hell of a mess.

If the proper steps were taken to tighten up security in Medicare, there would be billions of dollars to work SS without making any changes. But some changes are direly needed to put a halter on a system gone amok.
