Peter Bergen had a convincing op ed piece in today's NYTimes about lack of any dealing between saddam and al q. Right wing-nuts who try to use this will further isolate themselves from the evolving position of the american people. Cheney leads the charge on this one--what he should do is lead the charge to a new position as head of the NRA. Cheney and Rummy are caricatures of the competent men we once though they were.
Card just resigned--time for rummy and cheney has come. Hell, i would even take LBJ, Rusk and MacNamara or Nixon, Haldeman and Ehrlichman over this gang. Note: I didnt include Bush--i still have some hope that he will go to new folks but that hope fades every day.
