Email answer #4:Malcolm:My view is this: I' don't buy stories - I trade off stories - for the very very short term...we're talking minutes.I don't care about news from a fundamental analysis point of view because there are to many variables and I won't be around for it to pan out. Your OTC experience is the best lesson you will learn...stay away from small stocks...There are too many good large cap plays available to daytrade. The only reason someone wouldn't daytrade large caps is because they don't have the money. If you don't have the money to commit , stick to a long term conservative strategy like those of David Dreman and Ben Graham....whom I consider to be gods;)

Daytrading is a business like endeavor. Daytrading small caps is like wild speculation. Here's a good example why I never to daytrade small caps....they get halted midday and report very good or bad news ...if your on the wrong side you take a BIG hit covering your position, or worse yet you don't cover and it keeps on going.Been there, done that. Makes me shudder just thinking about it!

As for newsletters. The common wisdom is this : If the writer is so sure of his picks why is he giving them to you?...if it sounds to good to be true it is!
