I disagree with a lot of what you wrote there. It's not so much that what you are saying is wrong but rather that despite low interest rates there were yield curve inversions in various points on the curve.

I don't think that an actual recession is a foregone conclusion. I do think the limited inversion was a signal an impending economic slowdown.

Time will tell how that will effect the market. It won't be good if rates rise high enough to put the squeeze on debt burdened consumers.

In other words the inversion is no longer at issue. What is the issue is that the economy will slow as rates rise.
