Bill, we have reached the point where information overload is overwhelming our ability to utilize it efficiently. It is hard to separate the important information from the entire quantity of information available. Just do a search on Google and hundreds of thousands of related topics appear. Information saturation has changed modern society. We are bombarded with information constantly, whether we want it or not. Watch any TV show, there are probably at least 25 commercials during a 1 hour show (which is really only a 40 minute show). Open a newspaper....5% news....the rest is advertising. Drive a car in town, how many hundred signs of all kinds do you see within a 1 mile stretch?
