re: I found this weekends demonstrations pretty disturbing. Even if the politicians don't back down, trying to enforce any laws re. this issue is going to be very difficult. By waving the Mexican flags, I am hoping Latinos overplayed their cards and there is a strong reaction on the part of Americans.

This is tough. I feel sorry for those poor SOB's. But I think that in the end, we can't help anyone if we can't provide a decent working wage for our own citizens.

I have very mixed feelings. I feel sorry for the state that they are in but I also hold the leaders of Mexico and Central America responsible.

Do you know that Mexico is one of the most blessed countries when it comes to natural resources? Unfortunately, its a country where the ruling elite consumes most of the prosperity and wealth and corruption abounds.

In a large museum in Mexico City, there is a huge mural........in the mural, they show the whitest, the most European people at the top, the darkest...the indian mestizos......at the bottom. That gives you a sense of how Mexican society works. You watch Mexico's novellas......soap operas......and you think everyone is European in Mexico. Its astounding that fantasy that plays out in that country.

So while I feel sorry for the mestizos that come here.........we should be making their gov't responsible for them, not the US.
