War is good for business, and business can do no wrong in Bush's America, even if wars need to be started on lies and then needlessly prolonged to keep the profits coming in.
In Vietnam they figured out we taxpayers spent about $25,000 (paid to business interests) per "gook" (what the rightwing called them) killed, now it's probably $250,000.
Who wins the Iraq War? Halliburton, Exxon, Raytheon, etc., the Saudis, Iranians, Kuwaitis, Hugo Chavez, Al Qaida, the communist CHinese (who were borrow the war money from), Islamic mililtants everywhere and for awhile anyway the Bush regime. Oh yeah, the Kurds win too. Good old Kurds. The only ones who don't have anyone to kill.
Who loses the Iraq War? The US taxpayers, the US troops, ability to afford health care, our civil liberties, our democracy, the Israelis, the Republican party and Tony Blair (after three years, the truth comes out and they lose a la Nixon, what goes around comes around), John Kerry (would've and should've won if not for the war), US government checks and balances, Katrina victims, our children and grasndchildren (who pay off the debt). |
