Yukon Zinc -
Buzz on the BullBoards: Posters Think about Yukon Zinc
Wednesday, March 29, 2006
By Sean Mason

The next Yukon gold rush might be paved with zinc. Zinc is one of hottest metals in terms of global demand and that has StockHouse users panning the BullBoards for information on companies such as Yukon Zinc Corp. (TSX: V.YZC, BullBoards).

Yukon Zinc's assets are its zinc and silver Wolverine base metal deposit and its landholding in the Finlayson District and the Logan and Swift properties in the South central Yukon.

Wolverine has a resource of 6,237,000 tonnes grading 12.66% zinc, 1.55% lead, 1.33% copper, 371 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and 1.76 g /t gold.

The company has forecast annual production of 94,600 tonnes of zinc concentrate, and lesser copper and lead.

The Logan deposit has a resource of 12,300,000 tonnes grading 6.17% zinc and 25 g/t silver.

Yukon Zinc shares shot up 29% to $0.66 on Friday, March 24, despite the absence of news and with more than 10 times the previous day's volume. The stock has also more than doubled since the week before Christmas.

On March 23, poster Smith18 was preaching patience. (go to post)

While grampatech1 appeared eerily prophetic in adding from a technical standpoint "YZC should make an attack on 65 cents and with good fortune exceed it." (go to post)

As the volume and share price surged on March 24, Smith18 declared "obviously some big boys are interested in YZC, and volume always tells the truth!" (go to post)

nancy180, meanwhile, points to the alleged source of the "BIG BIDS!" (go to post)

And, ukboard claims to have heard a rumour suggesting the company may have hit the mother lode. (go to post)

But the notion was quickly shot down by splitS. (go to post)

shortoncents, on the other hand, recited words of trading wisdom: "Volume precedes news, precedes price" (go to post)

This while grinandbearit provides a second opinion on who might be purchasing the shares, eloquently stating a particular firm is "buying the crap out of this..." (go to post)
