Peter, The lowering of benefits to medical providers is a new thing, and will take some time to sink in, and will take time for the effects to take maximum affects. I know that the new restraints are primarily aimed at doctors, and hospital, but the fringe companies, like ambulance companies, nursing homes, and other facilities for the elderly, are still taking their pound of flesh.

Those that have a modest amount of money stashed away, earned that money and paid in the maximum to the SS coffers, and want to get some of that back. As long as they are not multimillionaires, I have no problem with that. If those that worked don't take their money back, the dead beats will.

Evidently, FDR couldn't see far enough into the future to realize that the population would grow, and the number of elderly people would increase, or IMO, he just didn't give a damn as long as it helped get him elected. IMO, he was a scoundrel.
