Something very wrong with this picture.. 1 million cu ft of gas used to give 1 barrel of oil from oil sands (steam injection)here.. murkyview.com A cubic foot of natural gas on the average gives off 1,000 Btu, but the range of values is between 500 and 1,500 Btu. thats 1 million cu ft times 1000 btus that is 1 billion BTU's to produce 1 barrel of oilsands oil.
