Thank you for the compliment. Must be the one on illegals and my early school years and how the Mexican children were separated in first grade from the American children then and had to learn to speak and read English before they could proceed to second grade with us. That surely helped them immensely and worked well integrating them into our country and culture. It also helped them feel equal to us in getting an education and there was never any racial disagreements between any of us, as I remember.

I don't know when it was discontinued as it never occurred to me that it would be, but in some cases now, I think it would surely be an improvement over what we see happening now. The difference is that we had smaller numbers from what we have now so that leaves me wondering if it would work the same way now as it did back then. My grandchildren now are dealing with it and there surely seems to be a lot of bullying going on between races and so much we never had to deal with. Some of the school districts here are now employing policies to deal with those kind of behaviors and I hope they are successful with them. I feel it interupts those trying and wanting to learn and sets up a roadblock for them, which they don't need or deserve.

Anyway, I appreciate you mentioning it and thanks again.

Naomi
