Quite frankly I see that viewpoint as being irresponsible and somewhat childish.

Well if it is your opinion that it is childish that I wish to keep my earnings / wealth from being distributed to a strained social system that isnt working and which may not even serve me then so be it <g>

Our healthcare system is troubled an I'm frankly worried that if I or any loved ones ever become ill we may have trouble getting the treatment we need while waiting. A person could die waiting for treatment , it happens all the time. IMO our healthcare system currently prevents people from the right to expedited care. Some of the reason is the Doctors/ healthcare professionals are leaving to the US where it is far more lucrative to work. If you can afford your own health care at a private clinic you should be allowed that right.

Also perhaps I should be allowed to opt out of OHIP and get a tax credit for doing so. Same with EI and CPP. Dont want either or need either nor do I wish to pay for these flawed socialist systems.

Irresponsible? My closing comment is that it is irresponsible of our current government/system to deny me the right to private health care.
