In hindsight, I tend to agree it would have been better to have taken Saddam out during gulf war 1, but I suspect our casualties would have been higher due to Saddam’s greater strength at the time. Something else that has been of growing concern for me is our ability to fight and win a difficult war. We would have never won WWII with the kind of resolve we have today.
