Dear Buggi:

Opteron sales are not that seasonal. Servers generally aren't. Opteron's have grown sales at roughly 70% a quarter. Assuming from the Q4 CC comments, about $100 million was from Opterons. Taking that to be 70% growth from Q3, we get Q4 Opteron revenue of $240 million. 70% more for Q1 and we get about $170 million incrementally. If the rest was just flat, we get to $1.5 billion. That also helps for production as initial Fab 36 output is likely to be dual core mobile and server. This also jives with the yield statements coming from Chartered. If Chartered is making low end 70-85mm2 Semprons/A64s versus DC Opterons and Turions at Fab 36, the yields should be higher at Chartered some of the time than Fab 36. Having 2x the average die size means 20% lower yields on average.

Pete
